           Content description of the GEOMETRY Subdirectory


The GEOMETRY directory contains additional CK Spice kernels describing the 
M-scanning mirror positions for each sub-session. These files are generated
by the team from TM information, are are used to compute the geometry cubes.
The motion of the scanning mirror is described in the EAICD, section 2.2.1.

Each CK encompasses a complete MTP period. 
The file names have the following format: 
VEX_VIRTIS_YYMMDD_yymmdd_VV.BC 
where YYMMDD is the start date 
      yymmdd is the stop date 
      VV is a version number, starting from 01 

These files are generated with no time interval tables 
(Spice option INCLUDE_INTERVAL_TABLE = 'NO')
Each file has a detached label.

The geometry files are computed for each session using kernels which are 
listed in their labels. They are stored in the data directories.
