The corrections applied with reference to incorrect files previously provided are also described. ============================================================================== CORRECTIONS AND NOTES ============================================================================== The following data files have been corrected and replaced within the DATA directory: \TEM\ HASI_L4_TEM_TEMPERATURE.TAB/LBL \ACC\ HASI_L4_ACCE_ACC_VEL.TAB/LBL HASI_L4_ACCE_DENSITY.TAB/LBL \PROFILES\ HASI_L4_ALTITUDE_PROFILE.TAB/LBL HASI_L4_VELOCITY_PROFILE.TAB/LBL HASI_L4_ATMO_PROFILE_ENTRY.TAB/LBL HASI_L4_ATMO_PROFILE_DESCEN.TAB/LBL \PWA\ HASI_L2_PWAD23_MIP.TAB/LBL HASI_L2_PWAD3_F0_RAU.TAB/LBL HASI_L2_PWAD3_F13_RAU.TAB/LBL HASI_L2_PWAD3_F26_RAU.TAB/LBL HASI_L2_PWAD3_F52_RAU.TAB/LBL HASI_L2_PWAS_MIP.TAB/LBL The filename of the following HASI file was incorrect. Please note the correct name: Correct File Name Incorrect File Name HASI_L4_TEM_TEMPERATURE.TAB\LBL HASI_L4_TEM_TEMPERATURE_D.TAB\LBL This data file contains data from the descent and surface phases, therefore '_D' suffix should not be present in the filename. HASI_L4_TEM_TEMPERATURE and HASI_L4_ATMO_PROFILE_DESCEN contained temperature data not dynamically corrected for aerodynamical effects and sensor response (post-calibration) contrary to what was stated in the HASI EAICD document and in the labels. The new files contain the corrected calibrated values of temperature. The other data files (acceleration, velocity, altitude and atmospheric entry profiles) relevant to the upper atmosphere (entry phase) have been corrected using the data resulting from the latest refinement of the reconstruction algorithm using a more accurate model of the mean molecular weight profile. The new model of the mean molecular weight profile is consistent with composition measured by Huygens GCMS in the lower atmosphere and retrieved from Cassini INMS data at 1500 km. The resulting trajectory and atmospheric profiles are not significantly different from the previous ones. The atmospheric entry profiles have been cut down at t0, since values retrieved from acceleration during the parachute deployment phase (relevant to time > t0) are not reliable. The method and procedure used to derive higher level products is briefly described in the HASI calibration reports contained in the HASI data set within the CALIB directory. Only data files relevant to engineering data (level 2) of the PWA subsystem have been provided. The data files relevant to scientific data and higher level products (level 3 and 4) are missing in this version of the HASI data set and will be provided in future versions together with the processing and calibration information. For the Radar files HASI_L2_PWAD3_FXX_RAU ( where XX is for 0,13,26,52) there are minor corrections in the LBL file, namely removing spaces and changing "Product Name" in order to include more consistent information. Before we had 60-0km in all files but data is limited in a specific altitude range in each file: 60-10; 10-8; 8-6; 6-0km. The mutual impedance files HASI_L2_PWAS_MIP and HASI_L2_PWAD23_MIP had some corrupted columns and some errors in timing so they have been corrected and updated. Furthermore TAB file did not correspond to the LBL file for what concern the column content.
