           Content Description of the EXTRAS Subdirectory


The EXTRAS subdirectory on this dataset volume contains the subdirectories 
and files: 


EXTRAS/ANIMATED_GIF Subdirectory      This subdirectory contains ANIMATED GIF
--------------------------------      files that contain a not-in-real-time
                                      cartoons of the operations of the GCMS
                                      Instrument. The VALVE symbol changes
                                      to indicate an OPEN or CLOSED valve,
                                      HEATER ON operations are shown by
                                      coloring a small box located near the 
                                      item affected RED and the flow of gases
                                      in the instrument is shown by the use
                                      of selected colors. This animation was 
                                      developed using the data from the
                                      DOCUMENT/WORKING_SEQUENCE file. The
                                      most recent inlet system operation and
                                      its time is shown on the lower right
                                      quadrant of the animation.
ANIMATED_GIF_SCREEN.PDF         Brief Overview of annotated Screen Display 
                                 used for animated GIF files of the GCMS 
                                 Sequence.
GCMS_A2.GIF                     Animated GIF of GCMS Sampling Sequence.
                                 Displays a MODEL Altitude Profile Insert.
GCMS_P2.GIF                     Animated GIF of GCMS Sampling Sequence.
                                 Displays a MODEL Pressure Profile Insert.
