PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT NOTE = "Notes on using the image index tables." PUBLICATION_DATE = 2006-09-14 END_OBJECT = TEXT END NOTES ON USING THE INDEX TABLE These notes describe the contents and format of the index table for the DISR data archive, INDEX.TAB. The index table (INDEX.TAB) contains one record for each label file in the DISR data archive. The index table is formatted as Comma Separated Variables (CSV) so that they may be read directly into Excel and many database management systems on various computers. ASCII character fields are enclosed in double quotation marks ("). Each line (record) contains a unique integer indexing the entry and the name of the label file. The label's filename includes its path relative to the ARCHIVE (Volume) directory (all in quotes). These two variables are separated by a comma delimiter. Each line (record) is terminated with the ASCII carriage return and line feed characters (ASCII 13 10 dec, 0D 0A hex).
