Abstract This small data set contains CODMAC Level 6 products linked to the Rosetta Orbiter ALICE UV Spectrometer during the comet phase around comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko Rosetta, which took place between 2014-01-21 and 2016-09-30. It collects supplementary documentation and data of interest to users of the Rosetta Alice data products. It contains a logbook of all observations, an Alice-specific operations manual, and data tables for g-factor and the UV Chameleon feature.
Description This small data set contains CODMAC Level 6 products linked to the Rosetta Orbiter ALICE UV Spectrometer during the comet phase around comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko Rosetta, which took place between 2014-01-21 and 2016-09-30. It collects supplementary documentation and data of interest to users of the Rosetta Alice data products. It contains the following items: G_FACTOR_DAILY_DATA.TAB contains g-factors for r^ant emission sources at 100K for the duration of the Rosetta mission comet escort phase. G_FACTOR_CALCULATION.PDF: This memo describes the calculation of g-factors in the R-Alice database, and provides references to additional related information. R_ALICE_ENCOUNTER_OPERATION.PDF: This document explores the uniqueness of ESA Rosetta mission operations from the Alice instrument point of view, documents lessons learned, and suggests operations ideas for future missions. RA_LOGBOOK_ESCORT.ASC: Chronological list of exposures and activities done by/with Rosetta Alice during the comet escort phase. UV_FEATURE_DATA.TAB contains data r^ant to the anomalistic feature nicknamed the Chameleon, described in detail in Noonan et al. 2016.
