Description > in this proposal, more time is being requested for rtuffs.snr we propose observations to follow up the detections of dust and line emission from sn ejecta in cas a. we further request more time to replace observations which had to be removed from rtuffs.snr due to time constraints. in particular, we request a combination of sws full resolution spectra and deep pht-s spectra at the position detected in cas a with ejected dust to measure the dust composition. also for cas a we need mapping at more fir wavelengths to counter cirrus confusion and place deep limits on the overall grain yield in the snr. we further propose a deep pht-s map of the whole remnant to delineate the space and velocity distribution of the bright mir emission lines. we put spring launch crab targets into the autumn list and in addition propose spectrophotometry towards a prominent patch of optical obscuration in the ejecta with pht-s and sws.

Mission Description The Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) was the world's first true orbiting infrared observatory. Equipped with four highly-sophisticated and versatile scientific instruments, it was launched by Ariane in November 1995 and provided astronomers world-wide with a facility of unprecedented sensitivity and capabilities for a detailed exploration of the Universe at infrared wavelengths.
