Description Jet-driven bowshocks seem to be rather ubiquitous in star-forming regions. If the large-scale bow is commonly observed and its kinematics, the actual engine of the outflow, the Mach disk region where the gas is accelerated, has never been detected until now. Recently, we have found observational evidence of the long-searched engine of outflows in the giant molecular bowshock TMC1B1 together with the driving jet, in Taurus (d=140 pc). which allows Herschel to resolve the cooling region of the shock. We propose to use Herschel to investigate the dynamics and physical structure of TMC1B1, a potential benchmark for jet-driven bowshocks studies.
