So why are they now changed to 1-way, and why are we loosing S-coverage so early ? We suffered a few dropouts when stations were changed to DSS24, but the ones you listed are not one of those. So I still list them as confirmed passes. Of course the decision whether you should record them or not is one I am not to make. Dr. Patzold? Regards, Hannes. Thanks. It's possible that the DSN has the wrong configurations; but these should be generated automatically based on files delivered from ESOC. Gene, Danny: Can you script these after all? If there's an opportunity to play back the data, I will be in over the weekend (Fri-Sun) and can take a quick look. I think we should use 2-W predicts and assume that both X- and S-bands will be two way. Hinson does not want to work with one-way data, so we'll probably see just noise if the spacecraft is not in the correct mode. It looks like we didn't get S-band for this one either. As for X-band, I think we got it, but the signal looks low. It seems similar to the MGS occultation recorded on this VSR, which turned out to have a problem (I thought the problem was fixed). In any case, I placed both files in your MEX directory on rsops2. 041MAOI2005331_0113X65S65RD.1N1 041MAOI2005331_0113X65X65RD.1N1 Danny - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - From Daniel.S.Kahan-121461@jpl.nasa.gov Tue Nov 29 18:18:01 2005 Return-Path: Received: from nmta2.jpl.nasa.gov (nmta2.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.160.215]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.11.7p1+Sun/8.11.7) with ESMTP id jAU2I1F14060 for ; Tue, 29 Nov 2005 18:18:01 -0800 (PST) Received: from xmta1.jpl.nasa.gov (xmta1.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.160.144]) by nmta2.jpl.nasa.gov (Switch-3.1.7/Switch-3.1.7) with ESMTP id jAU2HxBh027636; Tue, 29 Nov 2005 18:18:00 -0800 Received: from jpl.nasa.gov (eis-msg-065.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.160.102]) by xmta1.jpl.nasa.gov (Switch-3.1.7/Switch-3.1.7) with ESMTP id jAU2Hx1D025293; Tue, 29 Nov 2005 18:17:59 -0800 Received: from [137.78.160.72] (Forwarded-For: [137.78.78.85]) by mailhost4.jpl.nasa.gov (mshttpd); Tue, 29 Nov 2005 18:17:59 -0800 From: Daniel S Kahan To: Daniel S Kahan Cc: Dick Simpson 650-723-3525 , gene.goltz@jpl.nasa.gov, sami.asmar@jpl.nasa.gov Message-ID: Date: Tue, 29 Nov 2005 18:17:59 -0800 X-Mailer: iPlanet Messenger Express 5.2 HotFix 1.25 (built Mar 3 2004) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Language: en Subject: Re: 2005-329,330,331 MEX Occultation Data X-Accept-Language: en Priority: normal Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Source-IP: eis-msg-065.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.160.102] X-Source-Sender: Daniel.S.Kahan-121461@jpl.nasa.gov X-AUTH: Internal IP Content-Length: 1808 Status: RO Dick, Whatever happened on DOY 331, we can't blame it on the VSR. I checked my script, and it turns out I didn't set it to 2-way. So either: we got a low one-way signal, or we missed a 2-way signal.
