Sorry for the delay but we had problems with our email access (solved now). I would also like to confirm that the science observations have been resumed today around noon and we are waiting for the next pass (this evening) to confirm that everything is back to nominal. Fortunately the contact was recovered in this afternoon pass and mission is expected to restart tomorrow morning. The current situation is the logical consequence of the new FAST concept in case of an SSMM-DMS anomaly, very similar to the ones that triggerred a Safe Mode in the summer. With the FAST approach, the spacecraft is protected and kept in Earth pointing ignoring the following activities on-board (including the XTX ON) listening and waiting for ground contact. Details: - Event happened in orbit 10345 - Restart expected tomorrow morning in orbit 10350 Meeting with ESOC last week: - We have reached a stable situation with the FAST approach. - Further implementations may be done in the coming months following the formal procedure for review and approval including ESOC/ESAC/PI teams. - Priority for ASPERA OBCP to activate new sensors - HRSC and OMEGA will also be studied to try to reduce number of TCs - PFS might also include new calibration sequences (TBC) Long Term Planning: ================== Long Term Planning for orbit v850 distributed to all PI's. Nominal planning: ================= MTP102: (Alex) ------- - Final analysis delivered by ESOC. Only a minor problem with battery discharge was found, impacting ASPERA operations. - STP products have been delivered and everything on schedule. MTP103: (Pablo) -------------- - Pending confirmation from DSN for BSR observations: - 10536: agreed, MARSIS accepts to leave it for BSR - 10578: MARSIS off, SPICAM will abalyse, PFS will confirm by today - MTP103 planning products to be delivered shortly this week MTP104 Kick-Off: (Alex) ======================= (General remarks from MTP Report)
