Dick,

The MEX Occultation on DOY 208 (pass 1884) was conducted at DSS-15.  RSR
open-loop data were recorded and played back as follows:


     -  X-band, 2-way
     -  RSR1B1
     -  2 kHz, 16 bits
     -  start = 20:01:03
     -  LOS = 20:15:32 (approximately)
     -  stop = 20:21:00
     -  SFDUs = 1,198

   and:

     -  S-band, 2-way
     -  RSR3A1
     -  2 kHz, 16 bits
     -  start = 20:01:04
     -  LOS = 20:15:32 (approximately)
     -  stop = 20:21:00
     -  SFDUs = 1,197

These data should now be available on the RS TDS for you to query.

NOTES:  1) these recordings were all done "in the blind" using scripts;
         2) due to conflicts with RSR scheduling, it was necessary to do
            the X-band acquisition/recording on RSR1A, and not on RSR3A.

Gene and Danny:

The occultation data from 2008/208 were badly clipped.  I'm guessing
the spacecraft people finally figured out how to turn off the
modulation for occultations.  In any case, we need 5 dB more attenaution
on X-RCP for future occultations.  Details are in the "health report"
that I just distributed.
