These appear at intervals of 1-3 minutes, when the spacecraft carrier is present and before the surface observations began. When an X-LCP dropout is coincident with an X-RCP dropout, it is often preceded by a positive pulse of roughly the same amplitude and duration. Dropouts have been seen previously in MEX, VEX, and MGS data collected at DSS 43.
