Reduced data (CODMAC level 3). Data Archive AAAREADME.TXT - 1st June 2020 - ============================================================================== INTRODUCTION ============================================================================== This data volume contains data from Earth-based instruments using the imaging (IMG) technique of the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. ============================================================================== VOLUME INFORMATION ============================================================================== [< volume name >] |- AAAREADME.TXT An introduction to this data volume. |- [CALIB] A directory containing calibration files required for data | reducing and processing. | |- CALINFO.TXT A description of the contents of the CALIB directory. | |- < calibration files > see CALINFO.TXT for a description of the | | contents of the CALIB directory. |- [CATALOG] A directory containing different files providing general | information about the data set in this volume. | |- CATINFO.TXT A description of the contents of the CATALOG directory. | |- DATASET.CAT Descriptions of the data set in this volume. | |- INST_*.CAT A description of each instrument used to acquire the data | | provided in this volume. | |- INSTHOST_*.CAT A short description of each telescopes used to acquire | | the data provided in this volume. | |- MISSION.CAT A short description of the objective of this Earth based | | observation campaign. | |- REF.CAT A list of references associated with Earth based observations. | |- SOFTWARE.CAT A list of useful online softwares for data treatment. |- [DATA] | |- [See DIRECTORY TREE AND DATA FILES NAMING CONVENTIONS (below)] |- [DOCUMENT] A directory containing supplementary documentation files. | |- DOCINFO.TXT A description of contents of the DOCUMENT directory. | |- see DOCINFO.TXT for a description of the contents. |- [INDEX] A directory containing an index of data files in this volume. | |- INDEX.LBL A PDS table object containing records describing each object | | in this volume. | |- INDEX.TAB A PDS table object containing records describing each object | | in this volume. | |- INDXINFO.TXT A description of the contents of the INDEX directory. |- VOLDESC.CAT A description of the contents of this data volume. ============================================================================== DIRECTORY TREE AND DATA FILES NAMING CONVENTIONS ============================================================================== Firstly, within the DATA (science products) and CALIB (calibration files) main directories, the names of the directory(ies) are based on the name of the telescope where the data come from. Each of these directory(ies) contain at least one sub-directory named after the name of the instrument that acquire the data. Then a sub-directory should contain at least one sub-sub-directory named after the acquisition date with the following convention: __
. Finally, for the DATA main directory, the data themselves DO NOT follow any naming convention following but the extension is always FIT. ============================================================================== WHOM TO CONTACT FOR INFORMATION ============================================================================== For questions concerning this volume or the data sets and documentation contained herein, please contact: Dataset producer: Dr. Nicolas LIGIER, nicolas.ligier@laposte.net PI of the campaign: Dr. Colin SNODGRASS, csn@roe.ac.uk Planetary Science Archive permanent point of contact: psahelp@cosmos.esa.int ============================================================================== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ============================================================================== Because of scale issues, no browse file is provided here. FIT files in the DATA directory can be opened using the free software SAOIMage DS9, available at the following address : www.ds9.si.edu/site/Home.html The ephemeris information of 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko during the campaign are provided in the SPICE dataset in the PSA/PDS, with the following DATA_SET_ID: RO-RL-E-M-A-C-SPICE-6-[V1.0]. Most relevant information is located in the meta-kernel in the EXTRAS/MK/ directory of that dataset. Further details and information can be found in the SPICE dataset's DATA subdirectory.
