BepiColombo Environment Radiation Monitor (BERM) bundle
=======================================================

This bundle contains data and documentation from the BepiColombo Environment Radiation Monitor (BERM) mounted on the Mercury Planetary Orbiter (MPO). 

It contains the following primary data collections:

	data_raw: raw science and housekeeping products; units are digital numbers (DNs), counts or milliseconds, no conversion applied. 
	
	browse_calibrated: browse products relative to calibrated data
	
	data_calibrated: science spectra (particle fluxes per channel, per unit energy, per unit area) and housekeeping products, in engineering/physical units.

	calibration_raw: contains all data acquired through Frontend Tests, Backend tests and Triggering tests, as well as, the instrument response functions.

	document: documents necessary for the use and interpretation of the data

The following secondary collections may be applicable and are referenced in the bundle label:

	xml_schema (urn:esa:psa:bc:xml_schema): the main BepiColombio xml_schema collection contains PDS4 dictionaries for BERM and 
	the mission
	
	spice_kernels (urn:esa:psa:bc:spice): spice kernels used for geometry computations

Each document and data product in this bundle is described by a PDS4 label in a separate file with the same name but with the extension XML. 
PDS4 labels are XML (eXtended Markup Language) files that conform to the PDS4 Information Model XML schema at 
https://pds.nasa.gov/pds4/schema/released/. They are best viewed in an XML-aware text editor, and may be used by software that can 
manipulate XML documents.
