Uplink is at S-band until sometime on DOY 237 (Tuesday, 08/24/04), after which it will be changed to X-band until DOY 277 (10/03/04); that is, starting with our next acquisition on DOY 238 and contin- uing through end of solar conjunction, we should be X-band up. 2. We did not do the S-LCP becuase this was a scripted support and we haven't heard whether DSS-63 has fixed its microwave configuration problem (DOY 231 S-LCP appeared to be configured for S-RCP); we'll be supporting Wednesday (DOY 238) in realtime -- so we can confirm the correct configuration before recording the LCP data. - Regards, Gene ======================================================================== From: Dick Simpson 650-723-3525 Date: Mon, 23 Aug 2004 11:34:45 -0700 (PDT) >S-band LCP, 2-way (S-band uplink) >not recorded due to conflict with MGS 1. It was my understanding that there would be only X-band uplink until after solar conjunction. 2. Per your question and Martin's answer of last week: when there are only three RSR's, S-LCP should be chosen over X-LCP. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - From rmdc@zeus.jpl.nasa.gov Tue Mar 29 16:01:46 2005 Return-Path: Received: from airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (airmail2.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.96.27]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.11.7p1+Sun/8.11.7) with ESMTP id j2U01k712792 for ; Tue, 29 Mar 2005 16:01:46 -0800 (PST) Received: from rdca.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (rdca.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.70.132]) by airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (Postfix) with ESMTP id 66E7910902; Tue, 29 Mar 2005 16:05:08 -0800 (PST) Received: from rdca.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by rdca.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.12.10+Sun/8.12.10) with ESMTP id j2U01l9a005501; Wed, 30 Mar 2005 00:01:47 GMT Received: (from aalmeda@localhost) by rdca.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.12.10+Sun/8.12.10/Submit) id j2U01l8r005500; Wed, 30 Mar 2005 00:01:47 GMT Date: Wed, 30 Mar 2005 00:01:47 GMT From: rmdc@zeus.jpl.nasa.gov Message-Id: <200503300001.j2U01l8r005500@rdca.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov> X-Authentication-Warning: rdca.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov: aalmeda set sender to rmdc@zeus.jpl.nasa.gov using -r To: DSN-MPSETD@jjpl.jpl.nasa.gov, Daniel.S.Kahan-121461@jpl.nasa.gov, rmdc@zeus.jpl.nasa.gov, rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu Subject: 41 RMDC Delivery Content-Length: 727 Status: RO Tracking data for spacecraft 41 (MEX) Comments: RMDCT delivery to MEX-RS Edited 1-sec Doppler compression time Deleted 1-way doppler. If so, can you create the one second ODF's and put them on oscarx? We discovered earlier that your first queries assumed X-band uplink, and we later found some passes with S-band uplink that had been missed in the reprocessing. This may be a case where the uplink was at S-band first, then switched to X-band later; and we have received only half of the ODF data. Thanks, Dick Simpson
