In fact, the estimates are based on post-pass examination of the data. Miscellaneous ============= This is the first report since HEAF135A.TXT. Open Loop Data ============== Data Collection --------------- We have transferred the following MEX RSR open loop solar conjunction data to Stanford: DOY DSS RSR BAND RSR CH KSPS BT REC RECS RSR MAX START STOP ID RS LEN FILE NAME SNR --- --- -------- -------- ---- --- -- ---- -- ----- ----- ------------ ----- 144 63 13:14:01 15:57:00 X/XR 4 1 2 16 8260 9780 F144131A.RSR 57. 144 63 13:14:01 15:57:00 X/SR 2 1 2 16 8260 9780 F144131B.RSR 41. 144 63 13:14:01 15:57:00 X/XL 3 1 2 16 8260 9780 F144131C.RSR 34. 145 14 23:03:01 02:13:00 X/XR 6 1 2 16 8260 11400 F145230A.RSR 58. 145 14 23:03:01 02:13:00 X/XL 5 1 2 16 8260 11400 F145230C.RSR 27. Because Stanford's software is in transitiion, we do not currently have a way to check data quality (e.g., maximum SNR and plots of data). The MAX SNR values shown are from post-pass monitoring of the observation by Danny Kahan. Anomalies --------- On day 144 Danny Kahan reported that the S-LCP recording appeared to be identical to the S-RCP recording; so only the S-RCP data were played back. Danny is investigating why the configuration was incorrect. This is the third DSS 63 pass in succession in which the configuration has been incorrect and S-LCP has been lost. On day 145 Danny reported that no S-Band data were collected. According to Deficiency Report DR G116252 the station was 'unable to acquire S-BND due to the Dichroic Plate left in the RETRACTED position vice the EXTENDED position. Project opted for station to remain in the RETRACTED position and forgo the S-BAND downlink.' It is not clear why being 'left in' the retracted position prevented station personnel from configuring for operation in the extended position; configuring the feeds is part of the set-up for every pass.
