There had been problems with spacecraft and ground configurations during this time period; but occultations 20 hours earlier and 6 hours later were successfully captured at DSS 14. This occultation was collected using a VSR (very similar to the RSR, but intended for VLBI use). The DSS 63 X-band carrier levels on days 338 and 343 are modulated by an approximately +/-0.5 dB square wave with period 42 seconds. The S-band carrier level is also modulated but at an amplitude that is barely discernible. This suggests a cause in either the ground or spacecraft antenna. There are 0.5 dB changes in X-band carrier level on day 334 at DSS 65 and on day 340 at DSS 14; but these are 1 or 2 time events lasting no more than a minute. The customary "power line" spurs are scattered through all of the X-band spectra (except day 331) because of the high signal levels.
