Open Loop Data ============== Data Collection --------------- We have completed quick-look processing on the following MEX RSR open loop data at Stanford: DOY DSS RSR BAND RSR CH KSPS BT REC RECS RSR MAX START STOP ID RS LEN FILE NAME SNR --- --- -------- -------- ---- --- -- ---- -- ----- ----- ------------ ----- 172 15 19:38:00 20:28:00 X/XR 6 1 2 16 8260 3001 B172193A.RSR 49.0 172 15 19:38:00 20:28:00 X/SR 5 1 2 16 8260 3001 B172193B.RSR 35.0 173 15 12:58:00 13:33:00 X/XR 6 1 2 16 8260 2101 B173125A.RSR 49.1 173 15 12:58:00 13:33:00 X/SR 5 1 2 16 8260 2101 B173125B.RSR 34.6 173 15 13:23:00 13:38:00 X/XR 6 1 2 16 8260 901 B173132A.RSR 49.2 173 15 13:23:00 13:38:00 X/SR 5 1 2 16 8260 901 B173132B.RSR 34.5 The first two recording pairs were for gravity; the third pair was an occultation. The gravity recordings are relatively short (50 and 35 minutes, respectively) and the arcs are approximately midway between apocenter and pericenter. Gravity investigators may want to consider the utility of collecting such data. Anomalies --------- Receiver tuning was very accurate; the carrier frequency on day 172 was so close to the center frequency that the histograms of the real and imaginary parts of the RSR sample are distorted. This should not affect science.
