Gene, Danny:

If I make it to Maryland for my proposal review, I will not be in touch for
the MEX BSR experiment that occurs on days 039/040; the review officially
ends Friday afternoon so I would be either at the airport or on the plane
when the pre-cal starts. If I don't go or if I get out early (there have
been rumors), I'll let you know. If you need to reach me while I'm still at
the meeting, the hotel number is 410-785-7000; I'll be with the NASA LASER
Remote Sensing Panel.

The experiment should be very much like the one on 033/034 except that they
are giving us only about 40 minutes on the surface and the LOS is so early
that you can probably go home an hour before the official EOA.

I have been home with the flu; but Gene Goltz and Danny Kahan
successfully captured data during the MEX bistatic radar
experiments on days 033/034 and 039/040 using DSS 63. There
were surface echoes in all four received channels and the
echoes were approaching 40 dB/Hz at times. The data from
033/034 have been transferred to Stanford and undergone our
quick-look processing. It is likely that we will have the
data from the second experiment by the end of next week.

Thanks to all for the help in conducting these experiments,
Dick Simpson
