BROWSE Directory Contents

The BROWSE directory contains a JPEG version of all images stored in the
DATA directory of the data set.

For convenience a HTML based browsing interface is included in the
EXTRAS directory. The entry point is EXTRAS/AAREADME.HTM

The browse facility provides overlook views of the image data stored in
the dataset. Overlook view organized by time, observation target and
observational activity exists

All the JPG images in the browse directory structure have been histogram
normalized to optimize the contrast as part of the downscaling from
16 to 8 bit
