1. Introduction                                                               
                                                                              
This dataset contains the data taken and archived of comet 46P/Wirtanen       
in April to December 1996 by a team of European observers at La Silla         
telescopes of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile.               
                                                                              
46P/Wirtanen was among a set of targets covered by the observations, all      
in the list for the ROSETTA mission and the ISO satellite.                    
                                                                              
2. File formats                                                               
                                                                              
  Each label file was created with the fits2pds (f2p) tool provided by the    
PDS Small Bodies Node. The name convention used is:                           
                                                                              
        ESO-C-EF-C-YYYYMMDDTHHSSFF.LBL                                        
                                                                              
, where YYYYMMDD is the year (in year-month-day_of_year format), and          
HHSSFF is the time of capture. These label files point to the corresponding   
FITS files.                                                                   
                                                                              
3. Volume contents                                                            
                                                                              
  The files on this volume are organized in one top-level directory with      
several subdirectories. The following table shows the structure and content   
of these directories. Int he table, directory names are enclosed in square    
brackets ([]), upper-case letters indicate an actual directory or file name,  
and lower-case letters indicate the general form of a set of directory or
