The format of the images is 16 bit PPM (UNIX).



Directory RAW_IMAGES contains the 606 15-bit images, data numbers multiplied by 128.


Directory IMPROVED_FLAT_FIELDS contains the 606 flatfields, nomalized to data number 10000.


Directory DARK_CURRENT_IMAGES contains the first darks, data numbers multiplied by 8, with 
darks after image # 243 asssumed to be zero.


Directory SQRT_TABLES contains the square-root tables. The first column is the 8-bit data
number.  The next two columns are the minimum and maximum 12-bit data
number.  The last row is the number of 12-bit data numbers combined 
in one 8-bit number.


File DCT_COEFFICIENTS.TAB contains a table with the image number, the quantization number (i.e. 3 means 
that the last three binary digits were deleted), and the estimated threshold 
(i.e. 5 means that quaduplets of amplitudes were deleted if none was above 
4.5 in absolute value).


File DARK_OFFSET.TXT lists the image number of the HRI image and a transmitted 
value which is related to the pixel-independent dark value that is not 
included in the dark images.
 The pixel-independent dark data number is 0.9 + 0.25 * value in table.
 The image number of MRI and SLI images of the same exposure is 2 and 1 less
 than that of the HRI image.

 



Images are rotated 180 degrees from what the DISR sees.
