----------------------------------------------------- SPU HLSW V13.0 - WHAT'S NEW !! Project: HSO/PACS, SPU HLSW Contact: spuhlsw@prip.tuwien.ac.at Date: 08-12-2006 ----------------------------------------------------- SPU HLSW 13.0 contains the following new features: - Part of the code has been cleaned (removed useless part, applied naming conventions, added comments). - Part of the code has been optimized (the gain should be around 10% for spectro and around 6% for photo) - Supervisor task has been re-written completely - There is now a checksum (XOR) in the compressed entity (related to SPR - 642) - SPR - 643: Raw channel index is now coded on 11 bits - SPR - 653: Reduction Algorithm is now reported correctly, new identifiers for float averaging - The way DMC header errors are handled has been improved - We don't check for Signal Saturation anymore, since the DMC ADC has an higher range than the CRE output voltage, it can never saturate the ADC and we can there fore never reach 0xFFFF or 0x0000 - In photo, if nothing is specified, default number of samples to average are used. However, you can specify another number by writing the desired number of samples to average in RRP1 of WRT_DET_CST_PHOT. Furthermore, in this case, SPU uses a float averaging algorithm. - CPU load computation: in previous version of the OBS, the CPU load was over-estimated by 10%. It is now correct. - Many other changes as documented in "SPU OBS progress report" - Bugfix for SPR ... The following c/h files have been changed since HLSW version 12.8: - all but the files provided by CRISA
