This directory contains the Herschel Mission Information Base (MIB), which is also known as the Herschel-Planck Spacecraft Database (HPSDB).
The MIB contains definition of the telecommand and telemetry packets used by the spacecraft and instruments. It is organised as a set of ASCII tables which correspond to the tables of the relational database used in the SCOS-2000 system.
There were a number of MIB releases throughout the mission, reaching version 13 by the end of the mission. When definitions needed modification, it was achieved by adding new versions with a different Structure Identifier (SID), rather than modifying the original. As a result, MIB 13 can be used to reprocess all telemetry from the mission.
