Auxiliary Data

This directory contains auxiliary data for observations and proposals.

The data was extracted from the Versant database by exporting the relevant objects as XML. It allows the auxiliary processors to be run during product generation without the need for the database. The files include all observations for all operational days.

The observations directory has a sub-directory for each Operational Day (OD), which contains an XML file for each scheduled observation executed in that OD. Each observation file contains details of the observation request and details of its execution. Manually-commanded observations are in a separate directory; they are similar but do not have an observation request.

The proposals directory has one XML file per proposal.

Format/ICD

There is no ICD, but the names of the XML tags make it self explanatory.

Known Issues

For a few ODs, the onboard timeline consisted of parts from two different versions of the POS file. Merged POS files were subsequently created so that they reflected the commands actually executed. The XML files in this directory have also been brought into line.
