Passvogel/FIRST Planck Project, FIRST Planck Project Office From: A.Heske/ FIRST Planck Project Subj: FIRST Optical Bench Instrument Accomodation Gentlemen, In the view of the finalisation of the design for the focal plane units of the FIRST instruments and the recent design update by SPIRE for its FPU, the instrument accomodation needs to be checked, and resolved, for potential interferences. To arrive at a consolidated design by 30/11/00 we therefore ask each instrument team: a) by 06/11/00 to send their FPU (3D) model to the other two instrument teams, with a copy to ESA and b) by 13/11/00 to check for interferences and to confirm to the other instrument teams with a copy to ESA. With the given timeline it is expected that any problem areas, that may be identified, can be resolved by end November. Best regards, Astrid Heske
