This directory compiles the TPM prediction models prepared for asteroids that have been observed by Herschel. Observations of asteroids were taken by PACS and SPIRE as secondary calibrators, and by all three instruments in the framework of science programmes. These model files have been provided by Thomas Mueller (MPE), in the framework of an EU-funded project (SBNAF: Small Bodies Near and Far):
The model prepared are of two types
- Special Herschel PACS (PacsPhoto, PacsSpec), SPIRE (SpirePhoto, SpireSpec) and HIFI models , calculated for the Herschel-centric reference frame and the observation mid-time of a given obsid. There are separate files for the four main asteroids computed with the so-called model 2 (Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, Lutetia), and for the rest of the concerned objects, prepared with so-called model 1.
- TPM predictions at 10 reference frequencies between 30 and 1000 GHz (ALMA, IRAM, APEX, LMT, etc.) for Ceres, Pallas, Vesta and Lutetia, in the period 2014-2020 with a time resolution of 1h for Ceres, and 15 min for the other three asteroids.
More details can be found in the Release note. The whole data-set is also downloadable as a single file.
